This process takes a diamond with a visible imperfection and makes the imperfection much less visible to the naked eye. This material has the same optical properties as the diamond itself. When light travels from one medium to another, it either changes its course or reflects in a different direction. That is why we see the feather, and the diamond doesn’t appear to be clean.
